Channel Harvest conducted its third annual survey of independent insurance agents’ attitudes toward their relationships with carriers.
Some 1,500 agents and brokers responded to this year’s survey and passed our qualifying criteria, providing an excellent sample for analysis. They answered some 100 separate questions related to carrier relationships and changes in the market.
This study addresses issues of strategic concern to executives in marketing, sales and other areas of major carriers. The study quantifies agent desires and provides rich feedback on a variety of categories in both personal and commercial P&C, such as:
- Claims service quality
- Underwriting appetite
- Marketing support
- Field representatives
- Training and education
- Issues of importance to the independent agent system
